1. Our approach

TravHawk offers broadband plans with unlimited data for normal residential and business use. We do not apply arbitrary data caps, throttle speeds during peak hours, or reduce your connection for typical household or office usage.

This Fair Use Policy exists to ensure all customers enjoy a reliable, high-quality service by preventing activities that could harm our network or negatively affect other users.

2. What unlimited means

Unlimited means you can use your connection for everyday activities without worrying about a monthly data allowance, including:

• Streaming TV, films and music (including 4K)
• Online gaming and video calls
• Working from home, cloud backups and file downloads
• Smart home devices and multiple users in the same household
• Running a small business with normal office internet usage

3. Acceptable use

You agree to use your TravHawk connection lawfully and in a way that does not adversely affect our network or other customers. Acceptable use includes all normal personal and business broadband activities described above.

4. Prohibited and excessive use

The following activities are not permitted and may constitute a breach of this policy:

• Operating a public WiFi hotspot or reselling our service without a commercial agreement
• Running a data centre, crypto-mining farm or similar high-intensity commercial server operations on a residential plan
• Sustained abnormally high usage that is inconsistent with typical residential or agreed business use
• Any activity that is illegal under UK law, including copyright infringement, fraud or distribution of malware
• Deliberate attempts to disrupt, attack or probe our network or third-party networks
• Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or engaging in denial-of-service activity

5. Traffic management

TravHawk does not throttle or restrict traffic based on the type of content you access (such as streaming, gaming or peer-to-peer) under normal usage. We may apply temporary measures only where necessary to:

• Protect the integrity and security of our network
• Manage exceptional congestion caused by factors outside our control
• Comply with a legal obligation or court order

Any such measures would be proportionate, transparent and not used for commercial discrimination between services.

6. Monitoring

We monitor aggregate network performance to maintain service quality. We do not routinely inspect the content of your internet traffic. We may investigate usage patterns where we reasonably suspect a breach of this policy or our Terms and Conditions.

7. If we identify a breach

If we believe your usage breaches this Fair Use Policy, we will normally:

1. Contact you to discuss the issue and seek a resolution
2. Ask you to reduce or modify the activity causing the problem
3. Offer a more suitable business plan where appropriate

In serious or repeated cases, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your service in accordance with our Terms and Conditions. We will always aim to give reasonable notice where possible.

8. Business customers

Business plans are designed for commercial use with agreed service levels. Usage must remain within the scope of your contracted plan. High-bandwidth or mission-critical requirements should be discussed with our business team so we can recommend an appropriate dedicated or leased line solution.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Fair Use Policy from time to time. Material changes will be published on this page and, where appropriate, communicated to active customers.
